About Me
I'm your friendly neighbourhood graphic designer, living in the breathtaking Highlands of Scotland. I grew up in Kinlochbervie, a tiny fishing village where the scenery is epic and the Wi-Fi is, well, let’s say ‘character-building’. With 20 years of experience under my belt, my design journey started when I got my first Photoshop subscription at age 10.
While other kids were climbing trees, I was mastering layers and filters, locked in my room like a creative hermit. My early dreams involved designing cars and photoshopping my friends into epic scenes – I was the local wizard of visuals, conjuring magic with pixels.
In my late teens, brimming with youthful enthusiasm and absolutely no business sense, I launched "Taylor's Photoshopping." I created my first logo, printed 1,000 flyers and business cards, and built a website. Thanks to the tight-knit community, word spread faster than a Highland wildfire, and soon enough, I was making a quick buck.
Then life threw me a curveball. At 19, I became a dad to a wonderful daughter named Patience. With nappies to buy and bills to pay, I swapped my design dreams for a 9-5 grind. Fast forward to 2020, the year of COVID and endless bottles of wine (don’t worry, I’ve since switched to tea), I found myself with plenty of time to reignite my passion for design. At 27, I relaunched my freelance graphic design business, and BRAWgraphics rose from the ashes.
Now, in 2024, BRAWgraphics is on fire! We’re crafting stunning brand identities, logos, flyers, business cards, websites, and managing social media like pros. Our mission? To make businesses stand out in saturated markets, grabbing attention and hypnotising customers with dazzling brand identities.
Curious about what else I do? Alongside BRAWgraphics, I help run 'Kirtan Highland,' a spiritual band turned global online store, and 'Pictii,' an online shop with an international presence that's spreading like Scottish heather. My journey is just beginning, filled with learning curves sharper than a Highland peak and growth spurts faster than my daughter outgrows her shoes.
